I've been in playing with audio and sound since 2009, starting out in London's local pubs as a Live sound engineer whilst studying at the SAE institute.
During my studies I had a chance to work as an assistant at the Grind Studio in Shoreditch as well as get involved with the activities of the non-classical lablel.
By the summer of 2014 I had my BsC in Audio Production and left London to be the Technical manager of Teder.fm - a pop-up radio station and music venue in Tel Aviv. After finishing the summer project with Teder I moved on to Jerusalem, where I have been living ever since.
The fascinating holy city keeps me busy - from live sound in venues and festivals to opportunities to record local artist - there is never a dull moment. Most of my current freelance work is FOH duties for artists, taking a role of technical manager at local festivals and heading teams for internet and radio broadcasts. Among the organizations I worked with are: Mekudeshet festival, the Jerusalem academy for music & dance, Ruth Kaner theatre group, and Mazkeka Venue.
Another field I started exploring is post production and sound editing for films. Starting out with projects of animation students I gradually expanded my work with media projects, getting into music composition and finding connections between the worlds of sound design and music for visuals. My clients include KAN - the israely broadcasting authority, The Incubator Theatre, the Israeli Democratic Institute as well as many indie creators.
In May 2018, I opened my own studio in town. Part of a culture complex in the city center, mazkeka (distillery in Hebrew) studios were born and became the manifestation of a creative space I dreamed of for years. The 2 room facility became my base as well as a hub of the city’s audio professionals, developing local artists and gave high end, artistic and unique sound services to media creators.
As a freelancer or as a studio owner I contently look out for the next challenges. I enjoy the diversity my profession gives me and love being in the studio as well as in the field.
